Paneer Pizza

Paneer Pizza: This pizza is specially layered with paneer in addition to vegetables, mixed herbs, spices, and lots of cheese making this recipe flavorful and delicious.

INGREDIENTS

For Pizza base

  • ½ kg of all-purpose flour or whole wheat flour
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt to season the dough
  • Active dry yeast 
  • ½ cup warm milk
  • 1 cup water

For topping

  • 400-500 grams paneer cut into cubes
  • 1 cubed capsicum
  • 1 Onion sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Kasuri methi
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Oregano & chilli flakes for garnishing

 

MAKE PIZZA BASE

  • If you are using active dry yeast, activate the yeast in half a cup of warm milk and a teaspoon of sugar. Let the yeast sit still for 6-8 minutes until it looks bubbly and activated or you can use instant yeast.
  • Measure all-purpose flour in the bowl. Add 2-3 teaspoons of olive oil, salt to flavor, and the yeast.
  • Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes, until the dough is together & makes a dough ball.
  • Dough Proofing, Simply keep the dough ball in a large bowl lightly covered with a kitchen cloth and keep the bowl covered in any warm for an hour until the dough has doubled in size.

 

PREPARATION

  • In a saucepan, heat vegetable oil. Add Onions and saute for some minutes until they are soft. Add the turmeric, Kashmiri chili powder, garam masala, and crushed Kasuri methi. Mix well.
  • Mix paneer cubes, tomato paste, and onion mixture. Add some water and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes. Keep aside.
  • Preheat the oven to 450 F. We can use a baking sheet lined with baking paper or a cast iron pan to bake the pizza.
  • Make a thin layer out of pizza dough. Spread butter and pizza sauce.
  • Add paneer tikka topping and shredded mozzarella cheese all over the pizza and bake the pizza for 25-30 minutes until the pizza is cooked and the cheese has melted.
  • Cut the pizza into slices, and serve hot.
